Mango Lassi
A lassi from the Wedemark: Hemme Milch blends creamy whole-milk yoghurt from its own milk with real puréed mango. Fresh and fruity, a little thicker than a classic drinking yoghurt, made entirely on the family's own farm.
What sets this product apart
In India, lassi is the name for a yoghurt drink, and Hemme Milch brings it to Lower Saxony: the main ingredient is yoghurt from the farm's own milk, joined by puréed mango and mango purée concentrate. The tang of the yoghurt and the sweetness of the fruit are well balanced, not too sweet, with a lovely consistency. The typical creaminess comes from whole milk with at least 3.7 per cent fat in the milk component: not as thin as juice, not as firm as yoghurt.
The Hemme family has farmed in the Wedemark since 1589, today with 450 dairy cows and 60 employees. The business processes the raw milk right there on the farm, which guarantees the freshness of the milk, yoghurt & pudding that go into food retail under the family's name. With the Mango Lassi, the farm brings an international speciality to the grab-and-go shelf, made with milk from Lower Saxony.
Balanced; not too sweet, lovely consistency.
Very full-bodied, the sustainability arguments and product claims on the packaging are very nicely done.
No overpowering sweetness, a very pleasant combination.
